ThisOnly at NADA House

Presented in collaboration with Rawson Projects

May 8 – August 1, 2021

House 403, 2nd Floor

Colonels Row, Governors Island, NY

Rawson Projects is pleased to present a new installation by ThisOnly, a collective developed out of the practice of Chiraag Bhakta/*Pardon My Hindi. Their practice weaves layered narratives and archival research further enhanced by online media.

Through the filter of legendary Bronx rapper KRS-One, the installation explores the aesthetic and socio-political strides of Black cultural empowerment within tyrannical 1980s NYC and national and international politics.

Some of the items in the installation are purchasable through ThisOnly’s website, which viewers can connect to via QR codes leading them deeper into the collective’s digital archives and source materials behind each object.

The full statement from the artists can be found on their website ThisOnly.com or by using the QR code below.
